Mrs Diwan was very proud to report the things below:

• The children absolutely love maths! They were eager to talk about counting on, adding and subtracting, using dienes, part-part-whole, bar models, tens and ones grid, etc.

• The classroom environment was calm and focused, contributing to a positive learning atmosphere.

• I was impressed by how children as young as six were confidently measuring objects with rulers, showing precision and confidence.

• When faced with challenges, the children mentioned they simply persevered – a wonderful mindset towards learning.

• Girls showed the same level of confidence as boys, challenging the common belief that boys are better at maths.

• In Year 4, children displayed impressive reasoning skills and a deep understanding of maths concepts.

• Choral repetition of sentence steps in Year 4 was a glimpse of mastery in practice, with strong number fluency.

• The presentation in the children’s books reflected ample time given for independent work, showing focus and thoughtfulness.

• The overall atmosphere in the lessons was calm, focused, and purposeful.

• The child-initiated activities in the nursery were engaging, with all children actively involved and hooked on the tasks.

• The worksheets stuck in the books clearly demonstrated that teachers are thoughtfully considering the needs of their class and customising the sheets, rather than simply downloading them from a website.
